Connection with Foxhills

James is no stranger to Foxhills. He grew up in Virginia Water and has always had a love of sport winning the ‘Father and Son Golf Championship’ at Foxhills when he was just fifteen.

As a GB Hockey Player

Hockey became his game at St George’s College, Weybridge before being selected for South England and then England. As member of the GB squad in Chile, James helped the team secure qualification for the Olympics scoring five goals along the way.

He has collected over 100 caps for England and over 35 caps for Great Britain. In 2006 James played at the World Cup and Commonwealth Games and was named the UK Hockey Writers Club Player of the Year.

The lead up to 2012 will be a busy one for James having already reached the semi finals of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi and looking forward to the European Championships next year. Being ranked at 5th in the world, the GB Hockey team are looking for medals and training hard.
