Bush Craft Day
On Wednesday 30th October, the Youth Club held its second Annual Bush Craft Day with assistance from the Surrey Wildlife Trust. Over 30 of our Junior Members aged 3 and above, enjoyed learning about the flora & fauna within the Resort’s woodland areas. The day was packaged full of adventurous fun with many familiar faces from last year’s event attending once more.
The Mini Group enjoyed bug hunting, creating clay faces and making wooden medals, whilst the Junior Group enjoyed learning about fire safety, discovering mini beasts, making wooden medals and creating ghastly potions from woodland resources. The Teens enjoyed learning the types of wood best for burning, discovering how to start a fire with cotton wool & a flint rod, making mallets, cooking lunch over an open fire and building dens using the natural resources found in the woodland. To finish of the day’s activities, all three groups enjoyed toasting marshmallows over the camp fire along with a warming hot chocolate. Visit the Members Homepage to view the photo gallery.
Halloween Children’s Party
This year’s Children’s Halloween Party was a spookalicious event. Both children and adults attended in fancy dress and enjoyed an evening full of fangtastic fun.
Activities included visiting the scary witch in the Study, trick or treating and various other Halloween themed activities.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Head Chef, David Hanlon and his team for creating a spooky themed spread of delicious food for all the families to enjoy. Member Amanda Harmer emailed to say ‘The girls loved the Halloween party… thank you so much… great fun and food as always!!!’ Visit the Members Homepage to view the photo gallery.

At Foxhills, we pride ourselves on the wide variety of activities on hand for our members and guest to enjoy, and the nursery is no exception. As the golfers are teeing off, spa guests are deep in relaxation and visitors are enjoying delicious lunches in The Manor House, there is a small corner of Foxhills that is bursting with energy and creativity, Situated in the Youth Club, our Nursery is so much more than a safe and convenient place for our younger Members and guest to play while parents visit the gym.
Anne Hanshaw and her lovely team ensure that every day is filled with fun and varied activities to keep the little ones engaged and entertained. From painting and sticking, biscuit and cake decorating, a walk on the trim trail or an indoor obstacle course, the children are always busy being creative and learning through play.
Did You Know?
Every six weeks a theme is chosen and carried through the activities at the Foxhills Nursery. This autumn as Bonfire Night approached, the team searched for leaves with the children to make a beautiful collage and to paint fabulous pictures bursting with colour. Most mornings the children will enjoy ‘music and movement’ followed by role play, dressing up, story time or cooking.
Home From Home
Whether they are regular visitors or making a one off visit, every child I greeted with a smile and is immediately made to feel at home. The day’s activities are tailored to the number and age of children that are present, so from 12 weeks to seven years old, they are certain to have a great time and, if all the excitement gets the better of them, there’s always a comfy sofa, plenty of books and abundance of cuddles to wind down and relax.
