Families looking for a fun-filled countryside retreat can immerse themselves in an award-winning experience at Foxhills after we were named ‘Best for Families’ at the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence.

Hosted at the five-star Kimpton Fitzroy London on Monday evening – the coveted awards have become an important and trusted mark in acknowledging and rewarding the best hotels, spas and venues across the world.

Recognised by discerning readers and travel professionals alike, the finalists and winners were determined responses from online voting, guest feedback, and Local Expert reports drawn from the hotels featured on johansens.com and in Condé Nast Johansens 2023 International Luxury Hotels Guide which is available now.

With a soft play area, crèche, games room and many family suites among our 66 bedrooms, Foxhills has invested substantially to ensure we are a perfect staycation option. The extensive leisure facilities mean the whole family can be entertained with more than 200 timetabled activities each week.

The jam-packed schedule of activities includes everything from sports, fitness classes and arts and crafts, to adventure clubs in the resort’s woodland area.

A recently opened £7m building dedicated to families, The Pavilion, is also home to an indoor and outdoor swimming pool and family restaurant, Flo’s, while guests can also enjoy three golf courses, including a nine-hole par-three layout, a driving range and short game Practice Den, as well as 11 tennis courts.

The achievement caps an incredible year for our picturesque 400-acre estate in Surrey, having welcomed a series of high-profile sporting events over the past 12 months on top of a jam-packed social calendar which has included family pool parties, an outdoor cinema, as well as Jubilee and Halloween-themed events.

The achievement also marks the second year in a row that Foxhills has been recognised in the prestigious showpiece after being presented with the ‘Best Immersive Experience’ award last year.

Tej Walia, General Manager, said: “We are hugely honoured to win such a prestigious award, particularly one highlighting how great our resort is for families following our continued investment and commitment in providing the best possible experience for all ages.

“As a family-owned club, we pride ourselves on being a resort that is ideal for the whole family to visit, a memorable staycation destination where they can escape to the Surrey countryside and enjoy an array of leisure facilities and activities.

“It is great to once again be recognised by Condé Nast Johansens. It remains the most comprehensive reference to independently owned hotels inspected annually and any recommendation they make, you can trust will be worth a visit.”

A spokesperson for Condé Nast Johansens said: “Foxhills is a great family friendly venue with outstanding family facilities. The competition this year was as tough as ever with several household names shortlisted. This award is thoroughly deserved, Foxhills continues to elevate its brand and customer experience to new heights.”
