The Club crowned Golf Rules Champions at a quiz night on Thursday 20 April 2017.
Led by member Gordon Phillips, the event had over 40 members, guests and staff test their golfing knowledge through challenges in the Clubhouse and on the Putting Green.
Gordon put participants through their paces with questions including:
Q: What is the ruling when a player hits their ball then finds it embedded in an orange lying under an orange tree?
A: The player must play the ball as it lies or declare it unplayable.
Q: What is the ruling when a player’s ball strikes his opponent who is standing out of bounds, then comes in bounds?
A: There is no penalty and the player is entitled to replay the stroke.
Congratulations to the winning team including members Anne Sharp, Daria Bleyz and Sarah Hoesli.
