Tennis programmes for 2019

Our fantastic complimentary programme starts up again on this March. View the timetable here

New for this year: Change of times for Saturday morning sessions and clarification of levels for the three classes. Each player will be emailed which session they are eligible to come to. There will be a 6-week trial period and then a review to see if the changes are more popular. If you are interested in coming to these classes, please email Pippa at pbritton@foxhills.co.uk

New programmes for 2019

Tennis Xpress - Adult beginner course

Open to all Foxhills members, Tennis Xpress is a beginner adult introductory coaching course for players who want to learn the basics of the sport. Tennis Xpress is centered on the use of modified equipment such as slower bouncing green and orange balls to ensure that players quickly learn the game of tennis; being able to serve, rally and score by the end of the course. (additional course fee will apply).

6 week course starting in May

Saturday May 11th, 18th, June 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. Time: 12.30-1.30 pm

Cardio Tennis

A fun, sociable group fitness class set on a tennis court and open to people of all ages and abilities.

Supported by music, you’ll get to hit lots of tennis balls during your class and have a great cardio workout at the same time!

What is a typical class like?

You will be lead you through a 60-minute class consisting of a short warm up and cool down either side of a 40-minute full body workout.

Warm up - Some dynamic stretching, skills and drills to get your body warm and mind sharp before the workout begins

Aerobic section - Here’s your chance to hit loads of shots, including forehands, backhands, serves and volleys, all mixed with a variety of fitness activities

Tennis section - Put your shots into practice with fun tennis games. You’ll never play one-on-one; your team mates will be with you all the way

Cool down -  Now it’s time to recover and stretch
