On November 28 and 29, Joe completed the TPI Fitness Level 1 live workshop, which was held at The Belfry in Birmingham and was hosted by PGA Tour fitness trainer Jason Glass alongside PGA Tour coach Jon Tattersal.
Over the course of the two days, Joe learned about the principles of the TPI fitness philosophy and how to direct a golfer through the 16 physical screens. These screens can enable him to predict what swing characteristics a golfer could potentially have before even seeing them hit a golf ball. Also covered were the 12 swing characteristics as well as plenty of corrective exercises to address any issues found in the physical screenings.
Overall, this was a fantastic experience for Joe and has helped him to look differently at the work we do in the gym and the effects it has on the golf swing. He’s now looking forward to sharing his knowledge with members at Foxhills and helping them improve their golfing performance.
Joe and one of our golf pros will be offering two free 45-minute golf fitness workshops on Wednesday 27th February at 6pm and Saturday 2nd March at 1pm, where they will be explaining more in depth about fitness for golf and what it entails. The philosophy of any training completed will be to promote pain-free and injury-free golf, which results in better golfing performance. The workshop will also include some practical elements.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to book your place. All attendees will receive a 30-minute complimentary TPI movement screening assessment with Joe.
