Who runs the Revolution :
Jan Lawler : Cycling Captain and British Cycling trained Ride Leader
Austin Reynolds : British Cycling Level 2 Road & Track Coach and trained Ride Leader
Paul Burgess : British Cycling Level 1 Coach and trained Ride Leader
What bike do I need ?
All our riding is road based so ideally you should use a road bike or a hybrid (mountain bike may be used but is not advisable)
What level of cyclist do I need to be?
We offer a variety of rides for everyone to participate; whether you’re new to cycling, haven’t ridden since you were a kid or are an experienced rider.
How often do you ride?
Sunday morning (2 hours)
Tuesday Training Ride (90 mins) and Wednesday Social Ride ( 2 hours ) throughout the spring & summer.
Special Event rides (3, 4 or even 5 hours) are less frequent so keep an eye on the cycling calendar and look out around the club for information about these special events.
I’m completely new to cycling but want to come along. Will I get left behind?
Simple answer, no. We operate a system to ensure all riders who leave Foxhills with the group get back to Foxhills safely. Intermediate/Advanced riders will be expected to take responsibility for themselves and their bikes. We will assist with punctures and minor mechanical faults.
Am I expected to wear a Foxhills Club cycling Jersey?
To start off we don’t expect you to purchase a jersey but hopefully you will want to be part of the Revolution and will wear the Team colours
A club jersey also identifies us as a group to other road users.
Do you have any club rules?
Yes. Please see our Rules & Expectations page.
