Foxhills Club & Resort hosts one of the leading tennis clubs in Surrey, and has been home to an GB Pro-Series International world ranking tournament since 2007.
Featuring stars of the tennis world like Johanna Konta (winner 2011; current British number one female and semi finalist at 2016 Australian Open), Laura Robson (runner up 2011) and Timea Babos (winner 2010; Mixed Doubles runner up at Wimbledon in 2015). The Club’s 8 and Under and 10 and Under juniors were named Champions in the 2015 Aegon Team Tennis competition.
For Foxhills Country Club and full members who love playing tennis and want to get involved in club matches or regional leagues, the Tennis Club is the place to be.
The Tennis Club features eleven tennis courts. Five acrylic, three synthetic clay courts and three all-weather courts. Tennis members play in the Surrey League, Team Tennis, the Woking District league, and Midweek League. Juniors-only competitions such as Little League and Road to Wimbledon are also played.
Foxhills’ Country Club and Full Members receive access to a comprehensive schedule of group tennis coaching sessions, ranging from level 6 to level 1. The Adult tennis timetable is available throughout the year.
Social Tennis is available with mixers running 10.30am to 12.30pm Wednesdays, 7pm to 9pm Thursdays and 11.30am to 1.30pm Sundays, with Club leagues and an annual Championship running for the more competitive tennis players.
Surrey Tennis Club Membership
Featuring social club matches alongside competitions for all ages and skill levels, the Tennis Club's regular events include Clinics, Box League matches,regular social tournaments and beginner or ‘get back into tennis’ classes for those learning or returning to the game.
The annual adult and junior Club Championships involve Foxhills’ 800 active tennis members, and a lively Junior tennis programme, lead by Head Professional Pippa Britton.
In addition to tennis lessons, the Club offers advice on which racket to buy, grips and provides a re-stringing service. For more information, call in to the Tennis Pavilion. Members may also bring along non-member friends to play; a guest day pass must be purchased from the health spa reception to allow access to the tennis courts.
Men and Ladies are assigned a level when playing at the Club. As a guide, please see the descriptions below (M refers to Men's levels; L to Ladies' levels).
M1 and L1 - First team standard. Foxhills' teams currently play in the Team Tennis League, Surrey League and Woking League Division 1 & 2.
M2 and L2 - Second team standard. Teams currently play in the Ladies Midweek League Level 2, with the men in the Woking Summer League Division 2.
M3 and L3 - Third team standard, taking part in the Ladies Midweek League Level 3 and the Men's Winter and Summer League Division 5.
M4 and L4 - Fourth Team Ladies playing in Midweek Leagues and Men playing social tennis and in the Club Mixer.
M5 and L5 - Social players or players competing in the lower divisions of the Internal League and those who are new into the LMTL Division 4.
M6 and L6 - Beginners and those rusty players returning to tennis after a long break.
