Vergelegen Estate Wine Dinner

Thursday 23rd July | 19:00 - 23:00

The Vergelegen Wine Estate is the third oldest in South Africa and was founded in 1700 by Cape Governor Willem Adriaan Van der Stel.

Over the course of 326 years, the estate has been under the ownership of some of the world’s great explorers and visionaries.

Situated in Somerset West, 30 miles northeast of Cape Town and just 4 miles from False Bay, Vergelegen is close enough to the ocean to benefit from cool maritime conditions.

This is an iconic estate that has a great fusion of history, heritage, and award-winning winemaking.

Winemaker Luke O'Cuinneagain fulfils the estate philosophy of 'harmony between the old and the new' in the range of wines produced with minimal intervention.

The estate is deeply committed to sustainability, with a conservation program that has restored over 2,200 hectares of indigenous fynbos.

The vineyard practices embrace organic methods across all 258ha, ensuring the land’s health for generations to come.
