Festival of Foxhills - Celebrating 50 years on Saturday 12th July

Foxhills first opened its doors on 1st July 1975 after being acquired by Aer Lingus and turned into a golf club. Fast forward 50 years and the club has evolved into an award-winning country club and we're excited to mark the occasion, and how far we've come, in style with our members this summer...

Join us as we celebrate 50 years of Foxhills with a big family event across the entire resort showcasing everything that Foxhills is today. Every department will be involved with activities, entertainment, competitions and challenges across golf, racquets, fitness, spa, Pavilion and the restaurants. We'll also have pop-up bars, barbeques and live music throughout the day and into the evening. 

This is your chance to socialise, exercise and try something new - all in one day! We'll be celebrating everything that is great about the club and being a member here and you're invited! We're hoping every member will join us either for the entire day or at some point during the festival.

Food & Entertainment

  • 1pm-3pm: Gin & Afternoon Tea on The Deck
    Served on the Clubhouse Terrace (The Deck) co-hosted by Silent Pool, enjoy an afternoon tea food bar served with two handmade cocktails from Silent Pool mixologists.

  • 1pm-4pm: Silent Pool Pop-up Bar on the avenue in front of Nineteen with live saxophonist

  • 12pm-7pm: A family carnival at the Pavilion lawn with retro games, bar and DJ, followed by live entertainment and a BBQ in the evening

Activities

  • Art Studio drop-in throughout the day and a 50th anniversary collaborative piece to be unveiled at the event.

Fitness & Spa 

  • Two outdoor bootcamps throughout the morning (9am and 11am)
  • HealthSpa discovery pop-up featuring exclusive offers and limited-time product bundles

Golf

  • Rolling tee times from 7am with on-course competitions, prizes, pop-up merch tables and F&B.
  • 50 hours of free private coaching on the range
  • 50-foot putting competition
  • Limited edition line of 50th/1975 merch in the pro shop - accessories including head covers, towels, caps, ball markers, pitchmark repairers & more!
  • All Full/Golf/Associate golf members will receive a brand-new limited edition 50th year anniversary golf bag tag. These can be collected from the membership office on the day

Please note that registering for the event does not secure a tee time - tee times must still be booked separately, 15 days in advance

Racquets

  • Adult team doubles from 10am-12pm  - Matches will be a combination of ladies, men’s and mixed doubles in teams of four. Each team will be assigned a name relating to a player who did well 50 years ago at Wimbledon - Arthur Ashe, Jimmy Connors, Billie Jean King, Evon Cawley, Bjorg etc.
  • Parent/Child Tournament from 10am-12pm 
  • Pickleball mix-in from 1pm-2pm 
  • Junior pickleball (age 7+) from 2pm-3pm 
  • Padel Americano from 1pm-4.30pm (P2&P3 from 1pm, P4&P5 from 3pm)
  • 50-shot rally competition with coach or friend - Once achieved, both players get an entry into a prize draw. Juniors under 10 yrs have 3 lives, juniors 11 yrs + have 2 lives, adults have no lives!
  • 50 serves competition - Practice 50 serves, 25 serves each side, to get entry to the prize draw.
  • 50 tap-ups & 50 tap-downs competition for juniors
