Most surprising fact about my art career:
I studied architecture at university and taught painting workshops in Japan.

My artistic inspiration:
My work is inspired by the feelings held in places I’ve been. From the swirling koi ponds of Japanese gardens to the soft canopy of Windsor Great Park, the sunlit shades of Cornwall, or the cool blues of a lake walk near home. The shapes and colours I use carry memories, temperature, and emotion.

The thing I love most about teaching art:
I love the connections made with and between the members of my classes and noticing that joy is found in the act of making the art, no matter how it turns out.
