We are proud to announce a few internal personnel changes and promotions effective from 1st October 2023.
Georgina Tyson will join the Senior Management Team with a promotion to Director of Leisure and Spa following a successful few years as Pavilion Manager and then Head of Leisure. Georgina joined in April 2021 as we navigated through the Covid lockdowns and launched The Pavilion. Since then, she has built a great reputation amongst the team and members, leading The Pavilion to exceed all expectations following its opening in May 2021. Georgina took the gym, activities and fitness departments under her wing earlier this year and has since spearheaded some fantastic initiatives and growth in these areas.
Georgina's new role will see her take on the spa and tennis as we look ahead to several big projects over the next year or so. These departments will see significant investment and attention with the spa reception refurbishment at the end of this month, the build and launch of padel tennis and pickleball - two of the fastest growing sports in the world, and a full gym refurbishment with the latest equipment in the new year.
Georgina will also be focussing on streamlining and improving the member experience from a leisure and country club side, working with you to make sure you are getting the most from your membership.
Joao Almaca has also been promoted to Assistant Manager and will now head up the Clubhouse and conferences.
Elliot Laville has been promoted to Golf Tournaments and Retail Manager following his positive impact on golf standards and member engagement, working closely with the committee . Elliot will now be responsible for managing all golf events, including the member fixture list of competitions and external golf days, as well as our stock and brand offering in the pro shop.
As you can see, some exciting times ahead and I'm sure you will all join me in congratulating the above colleagues and wishing them the best in their new roles. I have no doubt that they will succeed and ultimately improve the club and enhance your experience as a member.
