International tennis returns to Foxhills!

Gb PRO SERIES FOXHILLS BANNER (1)

We're extremely excited to confirm arrangements for this year's GB Pro-Series tournament, taking place at Foxhills from Sunday 31st July to Saturday 6th August.

This women's international tennis event will be returning for a staggering 13th time and is always popular among members, giving you the chance to get a glimpse of some up-and-coming stars as they battle it out to earn world ranking points

The GB Pro-Series Foxhills is a Women’s ITF World Tennis Tour event, which has seen a number of players since move on to the higher echelons of the game. 2011 saw 2019 French Open semi-finalist, and former British number one, Johanna Konta, beat Laura Robson in the final, whilst all the world’s top players sharpened their professional careers at this level.

The last event in 2019 saw the highly popular Dutch player, Lesley Kerkhove, return to Foxhills as top seed, winning the ladies' singles title without dropping a set, whilst 2019 Wimbledon mixed doubles quarter-finalist, Eden Silva, captured the ladies' doubles title with partner Beth Grey.

This event is a popular destination for players ahead of travelling out to North America in their quest to qualify for the US Open, and 2022 is likely to prove no different. There promises to be a mixture of established top-200 world ranked players, together with emerging young talent who are climbing the professional tennis pyramid! Players such as Emma Raducanu will have played this level of event ahead of making their breakthrough to the world's top 20.

The GB Pro-Series event at Foxhills has a total prize money pot of $25,000 and is part of an expanded international calendar of tournaments being staged by the LTA in Britain this year, providing a showcase for tennis outside of the traditional summer grass court season and opening up the sport to more fans around the country. The move also aligns with the LTA’s new long-term Performance Competition Strategy with the aim of providing more opportunities for British players to compete, earn ranking points and win prize money in this country.

Qualifying is scheduled for Sunday 31st July and Monday 1st August, with the main draw starting on Tuesday 2nd August. Both finals are scheduled for Saturday 6th August.
