Selected by Dee Shah, Foxhills Captain, the Halow Project is dedicated to creating opportunities and supporting young people aged 16-35 with a learning disability so that they are able to live independent, meaningful, fulfilled lives and become more involved in their local community. Gordon Phillips has begun his training for the annual race taking place from Woking on Sunday 11 March.
Gordon said: "I’ve run various half marathons over the years and for me the Surrey Half is the most atmospheric and fun. Running for a cause is motivation, especially when I contemplate missing a training session on a cold winter’s morning! After a heavy Christmas I’ve managed to get into a routine and now complete around 35k per week with runs lasting an average of 75 minutes. I’m looking forward to it!"
