Novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) is a new strain of coronavirus first identified in Wuhan City, China. The Department of Health and Social Care and Public Health England are carefully monitoring the coronavirus situation and have published information and advice for the public.
This advice applies to travellers who have returned to, or are visiting the UK from the following areas:
- Hubei Province
- Republic of Korea
- Hong Kong
If you have returned to, or are visiting the UK from any of these areas in the last 14 days and develop symptoms of cough or fever or shortness of breath, you should immediately:
- stay indoors and avoid contact with other people as you would with the flu;
- call NHS 111 to inform them of your recent travel to the country.
As the situation is rapidly developing, please check the online advice for the latest and most up-to-date information:
and Public Health England for further information:
A Government and NHS campaign advises the public to:
- always carry tissues and use them to catch coughs and sneezes, and bin the tissue;
- wash hands with soap and water to kill germs.
We would ask all members and guests to follow the Government advice outlined above.
